CLASSROOM

RESOURCES

This is a collection and curation of outside material that I draw from when developing lessons. These are borrowed resources that I do not own.

A unit that addresses the body as a site for artmaking.

Art21

Art 21 is a series of videos (hosted by PBS) that focus on contemporary artists and their practices. They have an abundance of resources on their page. Their site states:

"Art21 is a celebrated global leader in presenting thought-provoking and sophisticated content about contemporary art, and the go-to place to learn first-hand from the artists of our time. A nonprofit organization, Art21’s mission is to inspire a more creative world through the works and words of contemporary artists."

Critical Response Process

Liz Lerman is a choreographer, dancer and educator who developed what she calls a "critical response process." This is a four-step feedback process that structures productive and facilitated dialogue between artist, peers and audiences.

The Brooklyn Arts Council has a great outline of this process on their site that makes using it very simple and approachable.
